Carlos Tejero

Carlos María Tejero-González has a PhD in Education from the area of Methods of Research and Diagnosis in Education (Métodos de Investigación y Diagnóstico en Educación (MIDE), Master in Applied Statistics, Master in Sports Psychology, Professional Expert in Statistics Applied to Health Sciences, Bachelor of Psychology (Educational specialty) and Bachelor of Physical Education.

 

Before joining the UAM as Associate Professor in 2008, he worked as a teacher of physical education for 16-year-old students. He has extensive experience in primary, secondary and higher-level education, and in private and public centers. Accredited in 2014 by the ANECA for access to the body of University Full Professors, he currently teaches sociology and statistics in the Department of Physical Education, Sport and Human Motricity.

 

His scientific production includes more than 65 contributions in specialized journals. Indicators in the Web of Science as of June 2020: 50 papers indexed in Publons, index H = 10, 452 citations. Likewise, he is an evaluator in different quality agencies, among other programs: research six-year terms, predoctoral contracts, calls for projects and research groups, and implementation and monitoring of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

 

His experience as head of the department of physical education in public secondary schools, as coordinator of the degree in physical activity and sports sciences and vice-dean for research, innovation and a doctorate at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, he considers that the four key elements of public management are: transparency, technical knowledge, cordiality and argumentation.
