Sara Navarro

Associate teacher at the European University of Rome, teacher at the Department of Education of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and external consultant at the International University of Valencia.

 

Doctor cum laude with a European mention in History and Music Sciences (UAM), a degree carried out thanks to a research contract from CAM and a FPU scholarship-contract with stays in Italy and France. Diploma in Musical Teaching and Bachelor of History and Music Sciences (UAM). At the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid she obtained the titles of Superior Professor of Musical Language and Musicology. Her academic training has been complemented in the musicology and management branch through the Musicology Course for the Protection and Dissemination of Ibero-American Musical Heritage (RABASF), the Official Master in Documentation, Libraries and Archives Management (UCM) and the Master in Management, Marketing and Communication of Music (Sapienza, Rome). Similarly, from the pedagogical field, she has obtained the Postgraduate Diploma in Musical Education (UAB), the Official Master in Information and Communication Technology in Education and Training (UAM) and the Master in Language and Speech Pathologies (UVic and ISEP).

 

Her research focus is centered on the socio-political and educational transformation of musical institutions as well as the study of initial teacher training in education for citizenship of Spanish and Italian institutions. She is currently developing hier doctoral research in education (UAM- Roma Tre) within the framework of the R + D + I Project “Democracy in schools as the foundation of an education for Social Justice” (Ref: EDU2017-82688-P).

 

As a result of her research, she has participated as a communicator in international conferences, has published in magazines and proceedings of various conferences, and has been awarded a scholarship by the WIMUST-Europe projects, as a resident musicologist, and Valutazione della qualità dei servizi pubblici locali relativi agli eventi culturali (CROMA- Università Roma Tre).
