Escuela sin armarios. It is a project of the Education Area of Federación Estatal de Lesbianas, Gais, Transexuales y Bisexuales (FELGTB) that has been developed in various parts of Spain for more than 10 years and has numerous educational resources.

LGTBIphobia. The  Educatolerancia website dedicates a section to educational resources, children’s, youth and general bibliography, as well as audiovisual material on LGTBIphobia.

LGBTQ2S. The BCTF (British Columbia Teacher´s Federation)  action group offers a section dedicated to improving access to resources for LGBTQ2S + collective teachers.

Boys don´t cry. Teena Brandon has always wanted to be a boy. So one day she decides to cut her hair, hide her breasts under a tight bandage, and change the order of her name, calling herself Brandon Teena.

Fucking Åmål.  The film tells the story of Agnes Ahlberg and Elin Olsson, high school students in the “insignificant” village of Åmål. Elin is outgoing, popular, and has been with countless boys, but she finds her life exasperatingly boring. Agnes, on the other hand, is shy and has not been able to make friends since she moved with her family to Åmål a year ago.

The Danish Girl. The film portrays the story of the painter Einar Wegener, who discovers that he feels like a woman and, with the support and help of his wife, becomes one of the first cases in history to undergo sex change surgery. A true story where love within a marriage is directed to the search for Einar’s gender identity.

Blue Is the Warmest Colour. The film is about Adele, a 15-year-old French woman who, although aware of what the norm seems, has doubts about her sexuality. After meeting and falling in love with a young woman, Adele suffers prejudice from her closest social backgrounds. It is an adaptation of the graphic novel “Blue”, by Julie Maroh.

Milk. Film that shows the story of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay politician elected to public office in the United States, and who was assassinated a year later. At forty, tired of running away from himself, Milk decides to come out of the closet and go live in California with Scott Smith. Once there, he opens a business that soon becomes the meeting point for homosexuals in the neighborhood. Milk becomes his spokesperson and, to defend his rights, he does not hesitate to confront businessmen, unions and politicians. Her courage encourages others to follow.

Pelo Malo. Venezuelan film about Junior, a nine-year-old boy with curly hair. He wants to straighten it for the photo from the school yearbook, because that’s the way pop singers are in style. This circumstance leads him to face his mother. What Junior wants is to be handsome so that his mother loves him, but she rejects him more and more.

Tomboy. A film starring Laure a 10-year-old girl who, after moving, due to her appearance and haircut, is mistaken for a boy. Summer will become a great playground where Laure becomes Michael, a child like any other. All the children welcome him like another boy. Laure takes advantage of her new identity to have fun with her new life, but the end of summer and back to school will reveal her secret.
